The Manager, Performance and Test Automation will be responsible for leading a cross-
disciplinary team consisting of Software Performance, Software Test Automation, and Cloud
Infrastructure testing; the Manager will drive the adoption of a standardized set of automation
and performance testing tools, will oversee the overall testing approach, and will monitor the
team deliverables and priorities; the Manager will help resolve platform-wide challenges; as
well as develop self-service tools that enable continuous improvement across Safe Fleet.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Manage a team that provides software test automation services to the product lines
Ø Oversee an outsourced team that provides performance testing services to the
product lines
Ø Supervise a team of remote performance test engineers, monitoring their status,
reviewing their test results and prioritizing their work
Ø Drive the standardisation of software test automation across all product lines
Ø Drive the standardisation of cloud infrastructure test automation
Ø Drive the standardisation of software performance testing
Ø Manage team goals and individual goals for the team members and facilitate their
annual performance reviews
Ø Provide technical guidance, direction, coaching, mentoring to team members and
oversee the delivery of commitments across all team members
Ø Collaborate with Product and Project Managers to ensure that necessary testing pre-
requisites are provided to the test team and that we are focusing our efforts in the areas
of highest priority
Ø Collaborate with the Software QA Project Leads, soliciting automation requirements
and architecting automation solutions as appropriate
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Ø At least 5 years’ experience leading performance and software test automation teams
Ø Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of direct reports (mentoring,
coaching, setting personal and team objectives, managing and setting their priorities)
